The ensemble has been tested and been found to lock to the GPS network of atomic clocks - see screenshots at the end of the listing taken during my testing. An OEM Meinberg antenna is included as shown.  Note that as the antenna includes a proprietary down-converter circuit enabling long cable runs between antenna and receiver, but eliminating the option of using one of the generic 5V antennae you'll find available for sale on-line. To install the unit you will need to procure a downlead of the appropriate length.  The connectors needed are N-Male at both ends. The unit ships with the IP address set to 192.168.1.88 and the password is set to the default value of "meinberg".  These values can easily be changed using the Meinberg config utility via the process documented in the User Manual. Description The frequency locking of the master oscillator to the GPS system enables the module GPS170 to generate fixed and programmable standard frequencies with high accuracy and stability. Various oscillator options allow the cost efficient implementation of different requirements concerning the accurracy of the outputs. The pulse generator of ED170 generates pulses per second and per minute. The pulses are synchronized to UTC second. Full details may be obtained from the User Manual Two serial interfaces are available for sending time strings. These ASCII telegrams include information regarding time, date and status of the GPS receiver. The module provides two inputs for measurement of asynchronous time events. These capture events can be read via a serial interface. A powerful and feature-rich software called GPSMON is available for configuration and monitoring of your Meinberg GPS receivers.
