Mettler H10 high-precision balance This unit is a high-precision balance with a maximum capacity of 160g and a d = 0.1mg. It has three knobs for adjusting the balance's weights; two knobs are on the front and adjust increments of 1g and 10g, and one is on the side of the unit right next to the indicator for fine continuous adjustments down to partial increments of 0.01g. There is also a tare adjustment knob on the front of the unit. There is a built-in bubble level, and an internal indicator light powered by a built-in standard three-prong power cord. The shipping locks are engaged. The unit may require calibration after shipping. The sample tray is suspended inside a glass enclosure, with both left and right sides sliding open to allow access. This unit was plugged in and its light lit up. Turning the knobs moved the internal weights appropriatly as well as the displayed numbers. Samples weighed out fine. The glass side panels have been dismounted for their protection during shipping and to remount them you'll have to remove the metal side panels. The right-hand side requires that the knob be removed from the shaft, a procedure that required a pair of needle-nosed pliers and wasn't immediately obvious (don't try simply pulling the knob off, it won't work). Remove the black outer cap and then insert the pliers into two of the holes in the exposed threaded plug to hold it in place while unscrewing it.
