Mitel 3300 CXi Controller      (IP Communications Platform)      with 40GB HDD      - various modules including 50004451 (4 x CIM ports)      - appears to give successful console POST output               but has flashing red warning light   *** Before you bid, look through the whole listing. Anything that I know to be an issue with the item should be highlighted in red. Anything that may be a worry should be highlighted in orange. Things that are just related to normal wear and tear of used items should be highlighted in blue.  ***   There’s a lot of info in here. If you’re interested, jump straight to:             What is it and what is it for?      What is included?         Detailed info                 Condition (Cosmetic/Functional) – anything that’s a problem with this will be in here             Shipping           Payment           General conditions   Do you think the price is too high? Feel free to make an offer. Just use the “Make Offer” button under the “Buy it Now” button. See my “About me” page for details on how I look on offers and under what conditions I am likely to accept them.   What is it and what is it for?   This is a Mitel 3300 CXi Controller with several modules.   I'm not sure of its condition because, although it gives (very comprehensive) POST information from the console port when it starts up, and I can't see any error/warning messages in that, there is a lot of it and I may have missed it. It finishes the POST process and doesn't end with an error message.   However, the red warning light (the left hand LED with the bell symbol) keeps flashing and never goes out. I have no experience with these things and as far as I can see, this could mean anything from the fact that it doesn't have any phones or network connected to it, to a complete failure.   Because of this, I'm only providing a quite limited warranty. I will guarantee that it starts up and that there is comprehensive console POST output which doesn't indicate any serious error. However, I will not guarantee that it will do everything it's supposed to. You'll need to accept some amount of risk.   If you know about these things and you understand what the flashing red light can mean and you're happy to buy it under the conditions listed above, that's fine. However, if you want one that's guaranteed to be in perfect condition, I'd advise against buying this.   I've included the first and last bits of the POST output below (it's far too big to capture it all easily). However, if there are specific bits in the middle that you'd like to see, contact me and I'll see what I can do. I also seem to have access to a CLI, so if there is a command I can issue to give some useful information (similar to the Cisco "show version" command, for example), please contact me and I'll try it and send you the output.     What is included? You get the unit itself with:      - on the front       16 x 10/100 802.3af LAN RJ45 ports       1 x 10/100 WAN RJ45 port       1 x 10/100/1G LAN RJ45 port       (Empty) Compact Flash port       2 x USB ports       RS232 (console) port       1 x 50004451 (4 x CIM ports) module       1 x empty module port    - on the back        24 x RJ11/12 ports labelled things like "Page", "Relay", "ONS x", "LS x"        1 x 3.5mm "Mon" port        IEC power connector   My photos usually show the complete contents of what is included in the auction. If you think something else that's not shown should be included, don't assume it is. Contact me via this site and ask before bidding.    If you're bidding internationally, note that any power cord/adaptor etc will be a standard Australian type. I will not usually include the cord when sending overseas (this keeps your shipping cost down). If this is a problem, contact me before bidding.   Condition  Cosmetic  Cosmetically, this is in good condition. It's not new so there are a few scratches, scuffs and marks on it. There may be remnants of labels on it. Of course, none of this affects its operation. Functional  Functionally, see the comments above. As I mentioned, I'm not really an expert on these things  so don't assume that I've told you everything important about it. I'm certainly not hiding anything but I mightn't necessarily know what is important to you. Please ask questions before bidding.   I'll give a 30-day DOA warranty (limited as noted above). If it doesn't work 100% (except for any issues noted in this listing), I'll refund your money and pay for postage to return it. I can only offer this to buyers within Australia, but if an International buyer has a problem, I'm happy to negotiate.    Detailed information about the item Here's the first and last parts of the POST output: MITEL SYSTEM ROM R3.0/6 May 26 2009 (83 - POWER_ON_RESET)   CCA Number                      : 56005083 RC.13 yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy System Model                    : 004f0000 F64 CPU Model                       : 8270 R0a10 Reset Config                    : 04043246 Bus Clock (MHz)                 : 66 CPM Clock (MHz)                 : 165 Core Clock (MHz)                : 264 Internal Memory Map             : f0000000 Main Memory (MB)                : 512 Local Memory (MB)               : 0 Flash Memory (MB)               : 2 MAC Address                     : 08000f1f0e35 L2 Switch                       : 1 Embedded VEC                    : 0 POST Bypass                     : 0 Watchdog Bypass                 : 0 Slot Id                         : 0   Programming FPGA...   Design Name         : MN3XXX_LOGIC.ncd Xilinx Part         : 2s300efg456 Build Date          : 2004/07/21 Build Time          : 13:09:34 Byte Count          : 234456   Starting POST...   SDRAM CS1 Data Bit Walk 1................... Contact me to check before bidding or paying if you want more details.   Postage costs can be combined on multiple items. Note that the eBay calculator for multiple purchases isn't very flexible. If you are planning to buy more than one item, contact me if you want a good postage estimate.   If using PayPal, the item must be sent with proof of postage as per PayPal requirements. This is included in al the postage options in the calculator for each listing.   For PayPal payments, the item(s) must be sent to the address in the PayPal notification email that I receive. If you want it sent somewhere other than your “default” address, you’ll need to change this on the way through the payment process.   See my “About me” page for details of how my shipping costs are determined.   Payment You can pay by direct deposit via Internet transfer,  PayPal, PayPal eCheque  (but we'll have to wait until it clears before shipping - usually takes just over a week), cheque on an Australian bank (but we'll have to wait until it clears before shipping - usually takes a week, even for bank cheques), Australian Money order, Australia Post COD (Australia only – buyer must have eBay rating >10 – buyer pays all fees) (not for fixed postage) cash on pick up locally (Brisbane) or any other method agreeable to both of us. Any payment method must be in Australian dollars, negotiable in Australia.   This is a private sale, so no GST is involved.     General conditions International buyers are responsible for any customs duty, etc. I'll describe the item and price accurately on the customs declaration. You'll also need to confirm, before you bid, that the item is permitted to be imported.   Due to some bad experiences, I have had to block bidders from a couple of countries. If you find yourself in this situation, and you're serious, contact me and, if your rating is OK, I'll make the appropriate arrangement so you can bid.   I always leave feedback.   Any questions, please contact me via this site.   Click here to see my other items.       OK ….. here’s the deal ….   What do I expect from you?   If you buy the item, I expect you to contact me within 3 days and arrange to pay within 7 days. I need you to provide me with a correct address for me to send the item. When you get the item and you’re happy with it, I’d appreciate feedback on the eBay site.   What can you expect from me?   I value my eBay rating and I have every intention of providing good value for you. I recognize that you’ve only seen a photo and read my description of the stuff you’re buying. I’m sure there are odd cases where I have omitted to put in something that you may consider important but I’ve just forgotten or maybe didn’t realize was important. You’ll only find this out when you get the stuff.   If there is some unforeseen discrepancy between what you’ve expected and what you get, I’ll usually refund your money. If it’s obviously my fault, I’ll also refund your postage. If it’s worthwhile, I’ll also pay for you to send it back. Note that this only applies to “unforeseen discrepancies”, i.e. it doesn’t cover things that were in the item description, or could be seen in the photo.   I’ll leave feedback on the eBay site for you. If all goes as well as it nearly always does, it will be positive. If someone doesn’t pay I will use the eBay Unpaid Item process and, if it goes to completion without payment, you may receive an Unpaid item Strike which could affect your ability to buy stuff on eBay.   Shipping costs and details   The following applies unless I have specified shipping costs as being fixed (usually only within Australia). eBay will calculate the postage based on my measurements of weight and size of the parcel. This will be based on best estimates. Sometimes, when I get to the Post Office, they’ll charge me slightly more or less. If it’s more, I’ll wear it. If it’s less, I’ll offer you a refund if the difference makes this worthwhile (usually if it's above about $2).   I'll try to get the best pricing for postage (on your behalf) and that may sometimes mean that I need to slightly deface the packing (box, etc) of the item, for example by putting packing tape or an address label on it. If you want to keep the packing looking as pristine as possible (for example, if you plan to resell it, or give it as a gift), please tell me when you buy it and I'll pack it differently. Packing or postage costs may be slightly different in this case. Again, please ask first if this is likely to be a problem.       Powered by eBay Turbo Lister
Condition Used
Seller Notes Used but seems to be working OK, although it gives a flashing red light. Shows normal signs of wear for its age (some scratches, scuffs and marks but not too bad) See in listing for any specific details of condition.
