Subsurface, a newer brand on the scene has quickly grown into an industry recognized and trusted product. With innovative designers and engineers whom were separated from Schonstedt back in 1997 Subsurface brand underground magnetic locators bring reliability and simplicity to rival Schonstedt. The ML-1 has a more stable and sturdy housing to protect against damage from drops. Subsurface uses stronger wiring and sensors in the tube compare to some other brands, which are weak and breakable. With the Subsurface ML-1 you Don’t have to remove the “can” to replace the batteries, no banging components with the can. The cover of the battery box has a captured screw that can be loosened and tightened with a coin. Electronics are housed in an ABS injection-molded case secured to the tube. This locator has a wide range of sensitivity from the very low to high end. The unit is very light, about 2 lbs.… and is long enough to search out in front when walking. Easy & simple one-hand operation, built in handle. Easy to learn-3keypad switches: ON/OFF & volume, sensitivity up, sensitivity down. Microprocessor remembers the volume and gain settings from the last time the unit was on. One ML-1 SUBSURFACE LOCATOR This unit will be cleaned and calibrated for 8 calibrations points (V&H collimation, Double centering, Optical Plummet, line of sight, plunge, tilt sensor, bubbles, cross hair) in our service department prior to shipping. All batteries will be checked out to confirm that they have at least more than half-life otherwise will be re-celled. EDM will be base line tested to make sure it is reading good distances according to their specs. All these adjustments and calibrations are provided to all customers at no extra charge. Units will leave here in a good cosmetic condition as well. In other word any unit shipped out to customers is basically ready to work at field. Cosmetic condition is rated 9/10.
