This assortment includes two each of the 2, 4 and 6 terminal housings and 24 pins. These are some of Molex’s latest connectors with the housings and pins for the male and female ends being exactly the same so they are called “genderless.” This can save on the number of parts you need on hand to handle your projects. These are rated from 4.9 to 8.0 total amps per connection depending on wire size and number of pins in use. Designed for 20 to 22 gauge wire. As with most Molex crimp terminal connectors, they are primarily designed for crimping stranded wire to the pins with a specified tool. I have found in the past that with a little patience and a nice pair of needle nose pliers I can properly crimp stranded or solid wires to the connectors and then solder the connection. Unless you are familiar with crimping Molex pins by hand, please be advised that the process can be a little tedious and you might need to repeat a connection once in a while to make it right. You can buy the $400 special crimping tool and do it the easy way, but that gets expensive. The connectors snap together and can be separated by lifting up on a small tab on each side. This makes a nice set to have around for that next project to make neat interconnections between cables. The second picture shows the connectors snapped together (without pins) and their relative size compared to the dime.
