Tucker Snow Cat and Santa Sled: 1980 Tucker Sno-Cat Model 1744 Serial number #3803566. The snow cat is completely reconditioned with 1445 hours on the 440 Mopar truck engine according to the hour meter installed when we got the unit. The reconditioning includes - engine tune-up, new paint on entire machine with Imron paint, new upholstery and carpet. The Bed is new and is covered with a used truck bed cover. Tracks were also reconditioned with all new pins and hardware. Comes with track pieces, extra belt, track jack, manuals and tools for repairing a track in the field. These units were made by SNO-TRACK Inc. of Medford Oregon and were made very strong as they were made for logging in the mud. New and extensive lights including track lights and yellow warning allow operation at night. SNOCAT is 97 inches wide, 90 inches high below the lights and 18 feet long. Two Hydraulics circuits controlled from the cab are brought out front and rear. Rear has a Warn #8000 winch. The SNOCAT steers both front and back to allow a relatively short turning radius. Estimated weight ~7500lbs. SANTA SLED: The accompanying sled was designed to follow in the tracks of the snow cat. The Sled has steel running gear with a 2*6 deck and marine grade plywood sides. Vinyl upholstery and red piping on school bus seats carry 12 adults/18 children. Upholstered edging on the sideboards and a cushioned roll-stitched classic sled front gives the proportions of a Santa Sled that could take old Nick and the Reindeer. The rolled front includes polished brass to complete the look. This is truly stunning in the bright sun. The sled is jacked on camper jacks off the wheels enabling sliding and wheeled operation for storage and slow speed offseason transport. A set of stairs lockup to keep the passengers contained during transport and the stairs drop down to allow loading and unloading. The sled is 9.5 feet wide and 18 ft. long. Estimated weight ~4500lbs. Both units have been stored at elevation (cool & dry) in a secure building for several years awaiting the return of snow to the White Mountains of Arizona.
