It is completely functional, and passed all Motorola paging test. Motorola, the leader in the pager industry, has introduced a nifty new one that looks like a fountain pen and can easily be slipped into a shirt pocket or purse. The Gold Line Professional Pager is lightweight (1.6 ounces) and measures a little less than six inches long, three-quarters inch wide and one-half inch deep. It has a simple two-button operation and runs on a 1.5-volt AAA alkaline battery. The little pen pager offers a full range of functions, including 12-digit numerical display, backlit screen for easy reading and the ability to hold as many as eight messages. All messages are automatically time-stamped. Users can be alerted to incoming pages either by a musical chime or Motorola's Vibra-Page silent alerting system. Gold Line Professional Pager Disguised as a fat pen, Motorola's Gold Line, fits in a jacket pocket without ruining your tailor's handiwork. It looks like it comes from a "Man from U.N.C.L.E." episode or a James Bond 007 movie and it's got plenty of practical features. The numeric-only pager has a 12-digit display and a backlit screen, and it can store up to eight time-stamped messages. The Gold Line even emits an audible signal when it's about to die.
