MUTOH ValueJet-1324 54" Wide -- Eco-Solvent Based Wide Format Printer THIS IS A CURRENT MODEL IN THE MUTOH PRODUCT LINE MSRP: $14,465.00 This is a "lease-Return" Unit, that was used by a Liquor Distributor to make signage they sent out for display at their various Liquor store customers. It served the previous owner quite well. It was professionally De-Installed by a Technician from Digital Media Warehouse, a Mutoh Dealer. We here @ LaserWave re-assembled the unit, and have found it to be almost ready to go... It powers up just fine, goes to ready, and allows us to load media. We have purchased four (4) fresh MUTOH brand, Eco-Solvent Ink cartridges for the unit ($350). The only problem is the Capping Station has lost it's ability to seal around the print-head, so it will not draw down Ink into the print-head. We were able to print the "Palette Demo", and whatever ink that was left in the print-head was laid down on paper, but it is starved for ink because it can't draw down any more because of the Capping Station failure. After extensive discussions with the original Tech that de-installed this unit, we have surmised that what this unit needs is a new "Maintenance Assembly" (MUTOH P/N: DG-42985). I was quoted a price of $660.00 for the part directly from MUTOH. It is the opinion of the MUTOH Tech that once a MUTOH Technician installs the new Maintenance Assembly (@ 1 Hr . Labor) that the unit should be ready to go back to work. We could have it done, but we have way too much inventory needing our attention for extensive refurbishment. As a result, we have decided to offer the ValueJet 1324 "as is", and the next owner can benefit from a very low price, and have the Maintenance Assembly installed at their facility. Remember this unit has four (4) new Ink Cartridges as part of the purchase. (a $350 value) This unit also has the Motorized secondary Take-up Reel and Spindle (to allow you to keep your banners from falling to the floor.) We are offering this printer at a 70% Discount from what you'd have to pay if purchased new....Only $4,340.00 Remember, this unit has the Secondary Take up Reel which I am sure is a pricey accessory to have. We than band it to the platform so it cannot tip over. We then purchase Freight Insurance @ Full price, so your investment is protected. The cost for packaging and shipping this unit to either coast from Minneapolis, would be $400, in addition to the price of the printer.
