Mystery Brass Type—1” Upper-case Alphabet & Symbols—to Make Peel-off Stickers?

I came across these brass letters and symbols with some miscellaneous letterpress materials. I really, really don’t know what they are. I’m hoping you do! They are brass, and have raised, reversed upper case letters and symbols. With one exception, the pieces are about 1” tall. (Only the Q uses the whole height.) But what were they for? The have thin, sharp edges around the letterforms, so they’re not for printing or embossing. My best guess is that they were used, heated, for cutting the vinyl layer to make peel-off lettering. I didn’t just want to scrap them, so if you have a use for them, they’re yours! Together, they weigh about 1 pound 14 oz. They’re in fair condition: they were stored in a jumble, and the raised edges of the letters show small nicks. I’m offering these as is. I do not add "packing" or "handling" fees. I’m happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases. If you have questions, please ask before bidding.
