Necomimi. Cat Ears Brain Waves Detector. Nekomimi Nekomimi Brain wave Cat Ears that accurately display EEG reading in the form of cat ears. Is a sophisticated scientific headset that, while durable for all kinds of wear, should be handled with care. The Necomimi is a next generation gadget. These cute cat ears show everybody how relaxed or focused you are. If youre focused the ears will perk up, if youre relaxed they will droop down. How does it work? Its simple: Necomimi has two sensors, one on your forehead and one attached to your earlobe. Those sensors are able to measure your brainwaves. Necomimi then interprets your attention or relaxation levels. The result of this is visible for everybody through the movement of your cat ears! The Necomimi experience starts as soon as you put on the ears. No configuration, no installation as soon as the EEG circuit between sensor and earclip is closed, the ears start to move und can be sure of the attention of the people around you. *Amazing for Therapists ! Operates on 4 AAA batteries Customer Reviews   "These barely fit my 10 year olds head and I would say she has a normal size head. I rather the ears just move randomly than have to place a wire on your ear and forehead. She barely wears them because they hurt after a while and it's kind of a chore."   "A bit fiddly to set up at first -- the forehead sensor has to be pressed firmly against your skin -- but it worked beautifully. It would be a five=star item, but the version I got broke after the first day of use, the ear clip (used to provide a baseline so the system can filter out electrical "noise" from the skin) snapping clean through the hinge. Blinq is going to refund my money, but it's still disappointing, especially for an item that worked so well for the short time it was intact."   "These ears are so awesome they actually work and I wear them all the time. At school I can wear them during class I just don't have them turned on. They make mechanical noises but that's ok. When I went to school a lot of people would look at my ears and the girls would say they are the cutest things ever and the boys would say whatever they probably don't work but then I would show them they do. WARNING IF YOU WEAR THEM TO SCHOOL BE CAREFUL BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL WANT TO TOUCH AND GRAB YOUR EARS. I don't keep them running all the time only when I'm doing something fun or going somewhere other than school. Overall I think these are a great product that I use a lot."   "I purchased these for Halloween last year. They are great for surprising people. Many people were surprised when they would twitch. I managed to scare a few of my professors and peers when I turned them on in class. The twitching isn't quite what I expected. The range that the ears move is not quite what a real cat's range of movement is, but it is pretty close. When the ears are on, you can feel and hear them moving. It may sound loud to you, but your friends shouldn't hear the motors at all. The headset is a little tight across the head and the forehead sensor is supposed to press against your head and that can be a bit of an annoyance if it gets bumped a while into wearing the headset. The ear clip sensor is similar to a clip on earring so you shouldn't mess with it after you have it clipped on until you are ready to take it off. If you mess with the clip before you plan to take it off, it could hurt a lot when you reattach the clip. Be sure to buy good quality batteries for the headset. It takes four AAA batteries and can quickly drain low quality batteries or batteries meant for low drain uses. The better the batteries the longer the fun can go on uninterrupted! Also, if you want to keep your new headset working optimally for longer, remember to remove the batteries when not in use. The head band can be hidden under your hair if you want to hide it. The power box is not as easily hidden. When the headset is turned on, there should be a blue light glowing on the power box. The light will start blinking if the battery is low. Overall, a great buy, but remember to use good quality batteries, and take them off for a while every so often if you are going to wear them for several hours."
