The PS-5000PJP is a high quality, professional pallet truck scale / pallet jack scale that is ideal for industrial or shipping use. Its capacity is as high as 5000 lbs and it is accurate to 1 lb. Additional features include the following: Four high quality alloy load cells ensure that the unit is completely accurate within its full load range. Patented Smooth-in and Smooth-out low profile design – ideal for all standard pallets. Easy to read indicator with large LCD display – equipped with a rechargeable battery. Tare function covers this versatile unit’s full capacity range. The deck plate, tubes and channels are made of 1/5 inch thick steel to ensure great durability. First class pump is used. All the wheels are covered by nylon rims. Four alloy steel shear beam load cells are mounted on a 1/2” thick steel plates which are firmly welded onto the fork plate. Important information for you to purchase a pallet jack scale: All the pallet jack scales are built based on a regular pallet jack. Manufacturers weld plates in the two forks and mount 4 shear beam load cells onto the plates. Then the U shape platform is mounted onto the 4 load cells. This is a good way to build a pallet jack scale. 4 full bridge load cells can weigh the pallets as accurately as 1 lb. But a problem occurred: the load cells and the extra platform raise the height of the scale. The space between the bottom and the top of the pallet is 3.5". Most manufacturers lowered the whole forks and welded the load cell plates beneath the forks so they can achieve the desired thickness of the forks (3.25"). But they created another problem: the scale will get stuck by the bottom ribs of the pallets. We spent 2 years to find the right solution and we made it. Our pallet jack scales can go in and out the standard pallets smoothly. Plus the scale is built with heavy duty material which can handle 5000 lb loads.
