NEW OPEN BOX (DISTRESSED PACKAGING) SANYO PROJECTOR LAMP - NEW LAMP & HOUSING UHP 180 WATT Metal Halide Lamp This lamp will fit Sanyo PLC-SU25 and Boxlight CP-12TA LCD Projectors Please be sure the LAMP SOCKET pictured in this listing is the same as yours, there is another 200 watt version of this lamp for similar Sanyo projectors that looks identical to this lamp - however the lamp socket is DIFFERENT There are sellers here on E-bay selling this lamp for the 200 watt version projectors and they will not work. The HOUSING is the same but the lamp socket is different. Make sure the lamp socket pictured is the same - The 180 Watt version is BROWN in color as pictured and the 200 Watt version is BLACK. The BULB in this lamp housing was also used in several different SONY Projection TV's If your projectors lamp had less then 1500 hours on it and it suddenly stopped working then suspect a bad power supply or bad lamp ballast unless the bulb is physically broken. As metal halide lamps accumulate time they get dimmer so replacing a high hour lamp will restore brightness. It is rare that they just stop working for no reason unless they develop a crack in the QUARTZ GLASS. Metal halide lamps are ARC TUBES under high pressure. There is NO FILAMENT in them to burn out. For some ODD reason many people try to test their lamps with an OHM meter. There is nothing but air between the ARC GAP so they can not be tested with an OHM meter like a regular light bulb. It takes several thousand volts to strike a metal halide lamp. Once lit the voltage drops back to about 80 Volts. A new lamp WILL NOT FIX discoloration problems. ALL LCD projectors have a filter that must be cleaned after every 100 hours of use. If the filter gets clogged then no air passes and your polarizers will BURN, this is what causes a yellow discoloration often seen on LCD projectors with clogged dust filters due to OWNER NEGLECT. 30 Day money back guarantee
