Easily find the laser beam, take a digital reading and automatically calculate results. Great for use with rotary and grade lasers, it has a large LCD display, three operating modes, multiple units of measure, and unique linear receiving technology. Laser Detector Function The SmartRod detects both infrared and red visible laser beams between 610 and 780 nanometers. It has a minimum beam capture angle of 120 degrees and ±3/32 inch detection accuracy. Multiple Operating Modes and Units of Measure In addition to laser detection, the Agatec SmartRod also reads elevation, takes cut and fill measurements, and serves as a digital measuring tape for taking height or length measurements. Users can also choose from three units of measure: (1) metric, (2) feet, tenths, and hundredths of a foot, and (3) feet, inches, and sixteenths of an inch. Linear Receiving Technology (LRT) Special linear receiving technology allows the SmartRod to get elevation readings four times faster and provide a quick digital readout. This is made possible with the SmartRod's large 6.5-inch capture window. The laser beam just has to touch some part of the window as opposed to touching the center of the window. The SmartRod finds the center for you. Audible Alert and Automatic Shut-Off Whenever the SmartRod detects the laser beam, it notifies you by emitting a tone. Using the keypad, you can adjust the volume of the tone between normal and high, or you can turn off the alert completely. The SmartRod control panel operates for 60 hours on three AA alkaline batteries while its laser receiver can take up to 3000 measurements also on three AA alkaline batteries. An automatic shut-off feature preserves both compartments' battery power by powering the SmartRod off after 5 minutes of non-use. Dust and water-resistant with an IP54 rating, the Agatec SmartRod comes with a 1-year warranty.
