FREIGHT OR LOCAL PICKUP PLEASE CONTACT FOR ANY QUESTIONS ON SHIPPING BEFORE PURCHASING Bio-Cool Controlled Rate Freezer The Bio-Cool Controlled Rate Freezers are mechanically refrigerated 1.5 liter liquid baths with temperatures of -40C. The magnetic stirrer and vortex breaker design help ensure isothermal conditions in this bath throughout its temperature range. Utilizing a liquid medium, the Bio-Cool handles heat loads substantially larger than its liquid nitrogen counterparts and does not utilize expendable refrigerant. All that is needed is a small dewar of liquid nitrogen for tissue crystallization and for ultimate storage.  The BCIV, -40C controlled rate freezer, is available with a single segment controller. A selection of container holder racks are available. KEY FEATURES  1.5 liter stainless steel bath Built in magnetic stirrer with vortex breaker Temperature of -40C Control resolution of 0.1C, accuracy of +/- 0.2C and stability of +/-0.1C Mechanically refrigerated, no expendable refrigerants utilized KEY BENEFITS Isothermal bath conditions created by built in magnetic stirrer and vortex breaker assembly Eliminates cost and potential hazards associated with liquid nitrogen use in a controlled rate freezer Liquid medium increases temperature uniformity and stability of specimen Meets the requirements for a large variety of tissue freezing applications Precise temperature control
