ITEM DESCRIPTION: This is a BRAND NEW PT-4000-MIL-1 kit featuring the powerful PT-4000 Cordless 12 Volt Blind Riveter, manufactured in the USA by Fastening Systems International (FSI). A few minor accessories are missing and a few extras are included as described below. This kit comes in a larger than standard metal case, also described below. This powerful rechargeable electric tool is heavily used by the military, aviation, and automotive industries for vehicle repair, and can be used in a wide variety of applications. This great tool is arguably the best such electric hand power tool in the world. It is essentially the same tool as the Gesipa PowerBird tool manufactured in Germany, and is manufactured under license by Fastening Systems International (FSI). However, the PT-4000 incorporates many more nosepiece/adapter options than the PowerBird, making it much more versatile. The PT-4000 generates an amazing 3,000 lbs of pulling force. It will install virtually all CherryMax ® (M7885), Avdel®, or Cherry Monobolts ®, Cherry Interlock®, Huck MagnaLok®, and Pop type rivets. The PT-4000 is also capable of installing both 5/32” and 3/16” Blind Bolts (MS90353/54-S/U) with the included nosepieces, and other fastener types as well. This PT-4000-MIL-1 kit includes the 2-piece adapter necessary to accept a wide variety of Cherry and Olympic/Allfast pulling heads (these pulling heads ARE NOT INCLUDED). There is also the 2-piece adapter for special straight, offset and 90 degree CherryMax pulling heads (these three pulling heads ARE NOT INCLUDED). The included user manuals show you how to use all these adapters for many fastener applications. BONUS!!!: This kit includes a few very nice accessories that are not normally included in the PT-4000-MIL-1 kit. You get the F187-1AR, FSI’s new Special Pulling Head Rotating Adapter. It’s a big improvement over the standard F187 adapter. The F187-1AR adapter permit you to position right angle and offset pulling heads through a complete 360 degree angle of rotation in either clockwise or counterclockwise direction. This eliminates the need to loosen the jam nuts on the pulling heads to position the heads to fit the work area need. This helps minimize potential damage to the threads on the pulling head due to inadvertent loosening (unthreading) of the head during the positioning and re-positioning process. The retail price for this item alone is over $160. You also get the F187-3BCM Rotating Adjustable Adapter Shaft, which costs almost $100 retail, and a CherryMAX rivet grip gage. Again, these three items are not normally a part of the PT-4000-MIL-1 kit. NOTE!!! The metal carrying case included in this listing is NOT the original PT-4000 case. This is the much larger case for the D-9000-MIL-2 kit, which is one of FSI’s Top-of-the-Line tool kits. This kit normally also includes the D-700VM, PT-100M, and D-28 tools (these three tools ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING!). This heavy-duty case gives you plenty of space to store additional tools/accessories. It includes a very nice laminated instruction book built into the case showing you all the options for setting up the PT-4000 and other tools for a variety of tasks and fastener types. MISSING PARTS & ADDED PARTS: The tool is missing a few parts as indicated in the parts list photo. Basically, it’s missing three nosepieces and the old style Cherry pulling head adapter. Other than that, I believe this kit is complete, as I have described here. I have also added a few useful items; the F187-1AR Special Pulling Head Rotating Adapter (replaces the old style pulling adapter), the F187-3BCM Adjustable Adapter Shaft and a CherryMAX rivet grip gage, all of which are not normally a part of the PT-4000-MIL-1 kit. ITEM CONDITION: This PT-4000 tool kit and accessories are in overall excellent new unused very clean condition. The tool itself has some very minor storage wear (very minor cosmetic scuffs and scratches). I charged the batteries and tested the tool on a few CherryMAX rivets and it pulls strongly and works great. The tool case is in excellent shape. It does have a few very minor surface scuffs, scratches, dents, and wear spots in the paint, mostly on the bottom and probably from being bumped around in storage.
