This rugged sealed timer was made for the military.  Time delay is fixed at 3 minutes.  The motor and clutch operate from 115VAC, 60HZ. There are 2 switches inside.   This is a mechanical marvel.  When 115V is applied to terminals # 1 and 2, terminal 3 becomes hot.  There is a AC motor running a clock-work mechanism inside. After 3 minutes terminal 4 becomes hot and terminal 3 is dead.  Switch 2 also changes state. The relay will stay in this state as long as power is applied to terminal 1 and 2.  When the power is removed, the timer will rewind to re-set itself.  This takes a few seconds. The times says it was made by Philips, but I think it was made by A. W. Haydon because their inspection stamp is on it. Dimensions:  4" x 3 1/4" x 2 1/4" and weighs about 1 1/2lbs. It was tested today and it works.
