Includes One LM20 Tester, One RJ-45 Coupler, One 9V battery. A must for every technician, service provider and installer. Quickly test for Fast Ethernet (100baseTX) and Standard Ethernet (10baseT) links. Insert into a hub, switch, NIC, wall outlet, or attach to cable with RJ-45 coupler. In just seconds, the LanMaster decodes the link signals and displays the exact configuration of the equipment connected to the link, as well as verifying link connectivity to the far end. It tests for reported faults and determines polarity of the outlet or cable. 226-012 also includes a transmit mode that generates a Link Activation signal to identify hub/switch port connections to a wall outlet, a tone signal generator for tracing cables, and it identifies type of Link signal for proper equipment configuration and improved network performance.
