Due to a deadbeat ebayer who couldn't pay, I am relisting this engine. You are bidding on a very nice 5hp hit & miss Majestic engine. The engine looks to be in quite good shape. There are three negatives about the engine, one is it's missing the original carburetor, somebody has built a carb, from scratch, I'm sure it works fine. The correct carb for this would be a Lunkenheimer which can be bought new and used for $75 -$150. The other thing is the governor weights are homemade, somebody did a fabulous job making them, and I know they will work just as good, but they are homemade. The last thing is the governor yoke that holds the weights is welded in one spot. There is really nothing else wrong with the engine that I can see. The inside of the hopper is like new, no rust scale or pitting. The man I bought it from had antifreeze in the hopper. Engine runs good, nice strong, hard hitting engine with minimal blowby. Has the original ignitor and trip assembly. It it mounted on a good, heavy, well built cart with a nice handle to pull it around. Has the original nameplate, and it also has a cast brass grease cup on the rod. I believe the pulley is correct, or if it's not it will work just as good. The engine has a large straight exhaust stack on it, sounds really nice when it fires. Take a look at the pictures and decide for yourself. Not an easy engine to find, only thing I would do if it were mine, is buy the correct carb, although the homemade one works fine. I can store the engine here for 6 months for no charge, we are located 100 miles north of Detroit. I can also deliver it to Portland, IN and Coolspring, PA events next spring and summer for $25 gas charge. I can also secure it to a pallet and deliver to Fastenal for $25 for shipping, they are very reasonable on shipping cost. Feel free to ask questions!
