The TC-4 is a Time Control Module for the System 500. It can be programmed to operate in one of two modes: multihazard release or two-stage alert/evacuation. Programming of operating mode and timer options is performed using the System 500 CPU’s nonvolatile memory. MULTI-HAZARD RELEASE FEATURES • Four independent release circuits. • Cross or single zone release operation. • Optional delay timer. • Optional soak timer. • Release notification circuits (when expanded with an ICE-4). • Release control relays (when expanded with a CRM-4). TWO-STAGE ALERT/ EVACUATION FEATURES • Four independent bell circuits. • NFPA Style Y or Style Z operation. • 20 PPM (pulses per minute) alert tone. • 120 PPM evacuation tone. • Alert timer. • Evacuation relays (when expanded with a CRE-4). • Additional evacuation notification circuits (when expanded with an ICE-4). CONSTRUCTION The TC-4 consists of a panel-mounted circuit card with removable terminal blocks provided for connection of field wiring. INSTALLATION The TC-4 mounts in one position of the mounting chassis using two captive screws. An included ribbon cable connects the TC-4 to the CPU-500.
