NuAire NU-425-300 Fume Hood/Biological Safety Cabinet For sale- a NuAire NU-425-300 Fume Hood/Biological Safety Cabinet. The hood is in good physical condition and comes with a stand that adds about 31+ inches to it if you need it. The hood is in good physical condition except that the indicator lamp for the Blower has been broken off as pictured. And perhaps coincidentally, perhaps not, the blower does not come on. I would guess it to be unrelated. I have parted out some larger 425-600’s in the past and the blower assembly isn’t terribly hard to access. Time consuming perhaps, but doesn’t require much in the way of technical skills. So perhaps something you could replace yourself although perhaps better that you let a professional that can then re-certify the hood take care of it. If I come across another 425 that has other issues I will salvage the blower motor, in the meantime you are buying it for repair. As you can see both the fluorescent and UV lights come on, so get the blower up and running and maybe replace the filter and you should be good to go. The label shows it has Option A-0 (or maybe A-O) installed, guessing that is the UV lamp as most of the 425’s do not have that installed I don’t think. This is the three foot version of the NU-425, and unlike most hoods it is in fact 3 feet inside width and about 41 inches wide overall. Roughly 57 inches high plus the stand, which will be disassembled for shipment to cut down on the size. Untested other than as described and pictured, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered. I would estimate the freight cost for that at between $350 and $800 to the east and west coast respectively. Residential deliveries, deliveries that require liftgates, deliveries to the boonies, and deliveries to schools or universities will all be more because it takes longer for the carrier to get the job done. Shipping will be via Old Dominion Freight Lines, which has done a consistently good job getting my shipments where they are going without roughing them up. I will be happy to quote you for the shipment, but I need to know the zip code, residential or commercial, and whether a lift gate will be required. If you would prefer to use another carrier that’s fine . It will be shipping from a warehouse with a loading dock in zip code 23093, but I do not live there! I require pickup confirmation the day before and your carrier must provide an emailed printable copy of the Bill of Lading so that there is paperwork available for the driver to sign when he gets there. The BOL should have all the info filled out when I receive it, blank copies are unacceptable. I can ship this to Canada via Old Dominion, but they do not offer customs brokerage services, so you would need to have your own customs broker lined up before it shipped.
