Old 1910 Pilling Caponizing Set Veterinary Surgical Hand Tool Medical Instrument

From an estate of a Veterinary Doctor you are bidding on a Vintage early 1900's CAPONIZING SET in original Wood Box & Mailing Box with Instruction Booklet that has a copyright date of 1910. The shiny places in the pictures are glare from the lights. In used condition with wear, the instruments are solid & sturdy in good shape. The Mailing Box has scuffs/stains & the Booklet has ink on a corner, one corner has been taped, the outside spine is torn, is slightly rolled from being in the Box, & the edges of the covers have small tears. The 32 inside pages are in good shape & complete. Please see pictures for the Tools included as I don't know anything about this kind of item. 1) Mailing Box Label reads: J.W. Miller Co. - Ideal Incubators, Brooders, Poultry, & Supplies - Rockford, Illinois. Addressed to a person in Denison, Tex. The label covers another label that partially reads: Pilling N.E. & Co. - Arch & 23rd Sta. - Philadelphia, Pa. - Medical & Dental Instruments - Hospital Supplies. 2) The Cover of the Illustrated Booklet reads: DIRECTIONS FOR CAPONIZING - COPYRIGHTED 1910  - BY P. PILLING & SON - PHILADELPHIA. PA. - U.S.A. 3) Instruments are in a wood Box that has dove-tail finger-jointed corners. The largest Tool is 7 1/4" long & is marked on the handle: PILLING - PHIL. The next largest Tool is 5 7/8" long & marked on the handle: G.P. PILLING & SON CO. PHIL. The inside of the lid reads: PILLING - LANSDOWNE - CAPONIZING SET NO. 2 - MADE BY THE GEORGE P. PILLING & SON CO. - ARCH & 23rd STA., PHIL., PA.  - FREE ILLUSTRATED DIRECTIONS ACCOMPANY THIS SET - INSIST ON GETTING THEM OR WRITE TO THE ABOVE. The Box measures approx 7 3/8" long x 2 1/4" wide.  A nice collectible. Thanks for your interest.
