This is a super nice original 3/4 inch Pickering governor.  These were commonly used on steam engines as well as a few gas engines.  It is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind.  It has VERY little noticeable wear on the gears or on the shaft.  Everything seems to move as it should.  The 3/4 inch pipe threads are in excellent condition.   It stands about 15 inches tall and has both the drive pulley and the idler pulley and I would say it is ready to be used on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare.  These original governors are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they usually need a rebuild of some sort.  Not this one.  It's ready to go to work.  If you've been looking for one to complete a project, restoration,  or for a scale model don't miss your chance on this one.  It would be tough to find a nicer one!  The pictures tell the story.  You won't be disappointed in any way.  Good Luck.
