This optical interference filter is capable of isolating the UV portion of the spectrum. It often is used to excite fluorescence in many substances. These filters are very efficient transmitters of this band of UV that is most commonly used to excite many fluorescent dyes and substances. A simple qualitative fluorescence analyser could be made with this filter and a long focal length lens of about 500mm. The lens would bring sunlight through the filter, onto a sample. Detection would be by eye, in a darked enclosure. The filter specifications are as follows: CWL 330nm +-5 nm, HBW 80nm +-6 nm, Size 8 mm +0-.25 mm, Transmission >70%, Thickness 2 mm.  Avg Blocking > OD 5 to 1100.
