Organomation Multivap 113 Analytical Evaporator   For sale- an Organomation Multivap 113 Analytical Evaporator.  The main body of the unit is in very good physical condition for this sort of thing, and the stainless steel basin heats up when the thermostat is turned on and turns off thermostatically.  The stainless rack that is in the basin is missing one of the corner “legs” as pictured, but I wouldn’t think it would be too hard to replace that.   The upper plexi plate assembly on this one is different than what is on the other 113 currently available, this one has a double plate with a gasket between them, the other one looks like it is a thicker single piece of plexi, presumably with holes drilled internally.  I am going to guess this one is a newer version, the double layer is probably easier to clean and cheaper to produce.   In addition to the mixing leg for the rack, I need to note several things.  If you look at the pictures 3 holes on the left front corner have been blocked off with some kind of metallic tape, plus another one behind the vacuum gauge on the back right corner.  I would assume those syringe things got broken off and it was just easier to do a quick fix than it was to replace them.  In addition another syringe thing has broken off right front corner and has not been patched.  And some of the syringe things that remain are bent.   So that whole assembly is going to need at least a little work before it is placed back in service.  I assume the syringe things to be something that Organomation would offer as a replacement part and looking at the broken one that hasn’t been patched I would guess they are designed to break off rather than damage the plexi lid.  So presumably you would just have to remove the remaining bit of the threaded part and screw a new one in.  But that’s just speculation on my part.   Beyond the heating element the evaporator is untested, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered.  However, IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it.  Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases.  Accepted Best Offers are strictly an as is sale, no returns allowed.  Return would be for a refund of the purchase price, not including shipping costs.   Just so that we are clear on that, this is an item that has not been thoroughly tested.  As such it may work fine or it may have problems, so any purchase entails a certain degree of risk.  If you Buy It Now your risk is limited to the shipping costs both ways.  If you submit an offer you do so knowing that you cannot return it.  In either case it is up to you to decide whether the risk level is acceptable to you, and if not you need to pass on this particular item.   Please check out my other listings for more interesting lab, test, and optical equipment.  Check back often!   Sold as is, as described, as pictured.  Potential buyers are asked to please make sure you have read the listing carefully, and understand what you are buying.  Ebay’s condition codes for used items, which I am now required to select from, might imply a degree of functionality that my limited time, knowledge, and facilities do not allow me to ascertain.  If the functional condition of the item is known it will be stated as such in the listing.  Unless a warranty is specifically offered returns are not accepted regardless of any implied functionality.   You are also encouraged to visit my “ME” page, where my terms, conditions, and philosophy of doing business are outlined.  I don’t think anything there is outside the bounds of normal e-commerce, but they are binding on the transaction.   Payment is expected within 7 days of the close of the sale and I need to hear from you within 3 days to confirm the transaction.  Because of the weight and/or bulk of the item I have chosen to let ebay’s shipping calculator figure out the cost based on your zip code.  Alternatively I would be happy to ship it charged to your Fedex account.  I will under NO circumstances ship it UPS, the people there don’t seem to be smart enough to handle a shipment charged to the recipients account, nor do they appear to be smart enough to correct their mistake after the fact.   With increasing frequency the ebay shipping calculator seems to be incapable of actually “calculating”, instead it prefers to tell you that the zip code you have entered is invalid.  Unless/Until they can fix it the only thing I can do is to plug my zip, your zip, the weight and dimensions in at fedex.com to arrive at a shipping cost for your particular shipment.  So if ebay isn’t providing a shipping cost automatically, you can always go to fedex.com and estimate it yourself.  It would be shipping from a fedex terminal in 22902 in a box assumed to be 18x18x36H, 40 pounds.
