Item Description A breakthrough for its time, the Motorola EXPO series of portable radios were the first compact handheld in an era of heavy, brick-like, portables. In great condition for their age, this pair of Motorola EXPO radios is tested and working and would be great for use on MURS! Don't miss your chance to add these rare, hard to find vintage radios to your personal collection! Basic testing conducted included checking the radios for power up, transmit, and receive. Radios will talk to each other and are crystalled for the same VHF frequency pair. Both radios were tested for transmit and receive and both had clear, crisp audio. Both radios were also verified as on frequency when checked with a frequency counter however, due to age they may need tuning and/or alignment. Radios are both cased in belt clip housings and both belt clips are still present and working (no broken springs!). Batteries will be included, but are used and their operational condition is not guaranteed. Successful buyer should expect to have to replace the batteries. Both antennas have been repaired with electrical tape, but are still sound and usable. Both chargers are tested and working, however one charger is missing its grounding pin on the plug (see photo). While this does not affect the charger's ability to operate, it should be replaced by a qualified electrician before use. All items in this lot are used surplus, please see photos for condition details.
