The lock is brand new, never used, never installed. This is the lock that you put your REG, or MGR, or PRG key in to turn to the various modes. Worn out keylocks can cause your terminal to lock up or scramble its program pre-maturely. Also a worn out lock may stop turning from mode to mode because the plastic is all gouged out from extended use and it may just bind up.
