By carefully analyzing each step the operator makes, Pelton & Crane developed several exclusive features that increase convenience and reduce the risk of injury and accidents: The upper instrument staging area is lower to accommodate the typical height of the average user, making it easier to reach and reducing the chance for accidents. The pre-soak and contaminated instrument staging area allow for better overflow management. An extra-large sink and pull-down sprayer make clean-up simple – odd-sized and bulky items easily fit in the sink, eliminating splatter. Centrally-located utilities for easy installation and maintenance. Modular design allows integration of under-counter washers and counter-sunk ultrasonics. PREPARATION AND PACKAGING AREA Ensuring separate, safe, and dry prep and packaging workspace is of utmost importance, where the risk of cross contamination is highest. According to the CDC guidelines for infection control: “Walls or partitions should separate the sections to control traffic flow and contain contaminants generated during processing.” In accordance with the CDC guideline, the Solaris Sterilization Center features contoured dividers separating each stage – significantly reducing the potential for cross contamination and creating a visible border that clearly defines each stage. This is an exclusive feature that you’ll only find on the Solaris. Large work areas between dividers allow for a streamlined workflow – boosting efficiency and productivity. The two top drawers double the available workspace and easily accommodate up to 24” x 24” wrap – enabling ample room for packaging large and small wrap cassettes properly and efficiently. The drawers underneath contain a modular insert that fits pouches and bags for specialized individual instrumentation. A drop-down mid-section allows for easy access to tape, indicator strips, and a heat and seal with electric access. STERILIZATION AREA The sterilization tower is the most critical point of the Solaris Sterilization Center. The tower is designed for ease of-use and convenient maintenance. Features include: Lowered shelf height for better ergonomics accommodates all users – reducing fatigue and the risk of injury. 1” laminate-surface shelving with drip troughs resist heat and moisture, and fully extend – allowing easy access to back panels for service or maintenance. The Spirit 2500 provides precise positioning for the doctor’s unit with control head tilt, coupled with vertical and horizontal adjustment ability. Easily pivot doctor and assistant controls for simple right to left-hand delivery. Flexible Positioning Swing-mount delivery system allows components to rotate easily, giving this dental delivery system ideal left/right convertibility.
