This Pentronix (PTX) MULTIPAK * 3102 press is a 35 ton/3Mode/Opposed Ram/Multiple Action powder compacting press originally manufactured by Pentronix Inc. The manufacturer’s published specifications include “fully automatic, high speed operation for pressing parts up to 2” (50.8) as thin as .003” (.076 mm) using multiple action tool capsules (punches within punches) for multi-level parts.’ Model 1 is an anvil-type, Model 2 is a conventional opposed-ram and Model 3 combines modes 1 and 2.
