Do not switch on the LS-50B before removing the clamps, or the calibration of one or both monochromators will almost certainly be compromised, resulting in a wavelength failure of 14 nm. This will have to be recalibrated by a service engineer, and is not covered by warranty! Inserting the clamps Switch on the LS-50B and allow it to initialize fully.
