Up for sale is a used and untested PERSONA/ASSA ABLOY - KDE VingCard KST-4941 Magnetic Card Encoder - Saflok, Kaba (sold as is, with no guarantees) This item is being listed as "for parts or not working" due to the fact that i do not have the equipment (or desire) to test it. It has not been tested aside from checking for power. This unit may have any number of problems. I would assume it would work fine once connected with software (might could be found online) on a computer. This item is being sold as is, with no guarantees of any kind! What you see in the pictures is what you will receive! You will receive the encoder, power cable, USB to RS232 (serial) cable w/ software disc, 25 blank (but used) Saflok key cards, and a few mixed hotel key cards that have been erased. This unit powers on and will pull the card in through the back and eject it out the front. This unit includes a USB to RS232 (serial) cable for use with this device, however, you may use a standard printer-type USB cable, RS232 serial cable, or LAN cable with this unit. I believe the guy I bought this encoder from said that it was previously used in a high-end Hilton hotel, and was pulled from use when their system was upgraded.
