This Constant Voltage Ferro resonant transformer has a primary that creates a resonant tuned circuit that achieves a saturated magnetic state. This is the equivalent of a pool of energy which feeds the secondary. Any input garbage has little effect on the pool, effectively drowning all input crap. I remember my lights and TV flickering as power company generators were swapped, etc, The lamp and systems connected to this transformer just smiled. Turn off when power is not required. These draw power when there is no load as well. Output is Fully Isolated from the input lines. Do not place high inrush devices (Laser Printer) on this with your computers. I never had a system problem after installing this with one exception. A parallel port laser printer clobbered a motherboard port since the printer was not protected from line transients. Using networked Laser printer resolved this avenue of attack. Warning. These are notoriously noisy with a buzzing sound (transformer laminations). I kept mine in a closet. I remember hearing that there are remedies for the buzz but I never needed it. This is used and long from the time it was new so no guarantees about future behavior though I expect longevity. Working perfectly right now. Clean and Near Perfect Condition as shown. A 60 pound device. 16" x 8.5" x 8.5" unpacked. Ask for a shipping quote as I might be able to cut some cost using FedEx.
