My father-in-law collected a wide variety of interesting laboratory stuff during his 60+ years working at the ARCO (initially Atlantic) refinery in Philadelphia and then for a variety of pharma companies.  He would like to see most of his hoard go to people who will appreciate him having saved things from the discard pile.  I had a middle school class play with this and they did some radial chromatography with felt tip pens (This instrument is really capable of fine qualitative work with 4" square glass-backed TLC plates.) and I have included some of their images for fun and show radial chromatography.  The chamber includes a spotting guide, but the glass capillary is broken but easily replaced with simple glass or metal capillaries.  The device is only 8" high and was made in the U.S.A. I lost money shipping to the west coast, so I am asking the buyer to pay shipping and keep the shipping cost in mind when bidding.
