Needle Microprobes  New and unused Fast-response needle probes are used for instant readings in tissue, semisolids and liquids.  They can also be used for very small  specimens, powders and materials. The needle tip is sealed to ensure that only stainless steel contacts the specimen.  Maximum temperature is 200°C with a 5 ft. lead. The smallest microprobes respond very quickly to temperature influence (0.025s) and provide the fastest reading. The short probes are easier to insert and they last longer.  Since this is a Type T thermocouple, it is compatible with any commercially available thermocouple gauge.  Back in my days as a scientist working for NASA, I used a probe like this to measure the temperature characteristics of a water drop undergoing thermal changes in a vacuum.  Worked very well with rapid response thus enabling my team to characterize the behavior of water freezing in a vacuum and extrapolated the results to model propellant freezing on spacesuits.
