Background and technical information on two pieces plastic molds for the production of a 24-litre basket with handles and a suitable machine to mount the molds and produce baskets in. The basket was previous made by a major Swedish plastic manufacturing company, which ceased operations and moved overseas in 2011. While this pattern of the basket was not interesting to retain in the product range, the both molds were sold. Eliser Maskinteknik company in Karlskoga, Sweden owns the molds since 2011 and are now selling them as the place to start a injection molding machine is missing in the company. The mold of the basket (2 halves) weighs 1050 metric kg + 1600 kg, i.e. approximately 2650 kg in total. The mold's dimensions: length 900 mm x width 750 mm x height 590 mm. It requires a minimum of 450 metric tonnes closing force to produce the basket. Robot grip for automated picking is included. The basket dimensions are approximately: length 450 mm x width 325 mm x height 260 mm. Weight is about 575 grams without the handle. The basket is made of polypropylene and can be dyed in any color. The design allows for a pressure or a sticker on a surface (on both long sides of the basket. on both long sides of the basket) of about width 115 mm x 75 mm. The mold of the handle weighs 275 metric kg and has measurements length 420 mm x width 380 mm x height 260 mm. Handle weighs 110 grams and is made of polypropylene with 20% glass fibres. The Battenfeld 550 tonnes injection-molding machine, which is suitable to produce baskets and handles is also available. The estimated cycle time for the molding of a basket is to about one minute. The control system is electric and the whole cycle is automatic. The machine's weight is about 13 metric tons, length is about 7 meters, width 1,5 meters, height 2 meters. The injection device is currently disassembled to make the machine a bit lighter but is of course included. Together the molds and the machine forming the complete mechanical equipment for the production of baskets, ready to be delivered to the buyer. The molds can be sold as a part, as well as the machine. The price of the two molds is 24 000 euros while the price of the machine is 4 500 euros and the prices includes free loading in Karlskoga, Sweden, all other shipping is paid by the buyer.
