Group 700 Connectivity The RealPresence Group 700 is Polycom's newest top-of-the-line videoconferencing system for multi-purpose rooms which might be home to executive meetings, HR benefit roll-outs, sales presentations and multi-site education programs. Three (3) HDMI video outputs and (3) VGA outputs allow for connection up to three (3) monitors or projection screens. Video inputs include two (2) Polycom EagleEye HD camera HDCI connections, three (3) HDMI connections and another for VGA (for a PC or laptop). This Polycom Group Series 700-1080p is a multipoint, HD 1080p, videoconferencing system. The Group Series Multipoint License is 8-way on Group 700 and supports 4-way HD continuous presence (HD) multipoint calls. In other words, it can bridge a total of 8 conference rooms together into a single standard definition call or 4 conference rooms can be bridged together in high definition. Either way, this is how you put multiple offices together for a meeting anytime you want to without jet-lag, hotel bills, and flight delays. This system is a little over one year old; in nice condition. The camera will be shipped in its original box and looks like it could be new. The remote has been used but looks nice. The codec is rack mountable, 17"x13"x2.5", so that it can be hidden away and out of view, with all your cable attachments, while the camera mounts neatly on a shelf above your monitor or projection screen. Unless you are performing remote surgery or using the system to design the next Mars rocket, 720p is what is recommended. 1080p requires a lot of bandwidth and with that need come additional problems with firewalls, networks (especially MPLS networks), and operating costs. However, if you need to call at 1080p, this system is ready to do so. If you need to add a Polycom Extended Warranty, you can purchase it from GAVX now or at a later date.
