Transforms a make/break contact into an X10 signal It can be triggered by either a low voltage input or a dry contact closure. Switches the lights ON when the alarm goes off Can be connected to an existing burglar alarm system to flash lights connected to lamp modules and wall switch modules when the alarm trips. Detailed technical specificationsApplications Sender for controlling appliances and lights, that are plugged into the X10 modules, through the existing house wiring Automatically switches all lights (on or flashing) in case of alarm,  without running any extra wires. You can use almost every signal as a "trigger" for the SM10AU: contact closure (relays, switch of alarm keypad), but also any voltage between 6 and 18 V (e.g. doorbell transformer or amplified audio signal). The SM10AU can be used, for instance, to connect your present (non X10 compatible) alarm system to X10 modules: A magnetic switch can be connected to the SM10AU, which can be used to turn lights on and off when opening or closing doors and windows. The SM10AU can be connected to the switch contacts of a light sensor or motion sensor or an (amplified) microphone or humidity sensor in order to activate X10 modules. The door switch of your garage door can be connected to the SM10AU to automatically switch on the lights when the door opens, etc...
