This machine has high end precision linear rails with ball bearings for fast smooth motion. Moveable Z axis. For acrylic and wood the max thickness of cutting is about 1/2" for acrylic and it varies for wood and other materials depending on the density and type. This laser also serves as a cutter and as an engraver. It is able to etch or engrave onto a variety of materials including any material you can cut and also other materials such as stone and glass. No metal cutting is possible but with 90w power however it is possible to mark steel directly with use of the 2" lens or finer. Also color anodized aluminum can be marked white. Additionally other metals may be marked by activating the laser spray known as Thermark.
