This clamp stands set can be directly installed on the Cimarec and Super-Nuova hotplate and stirrer made by Thermo, Fisher or Barnstead. It is for holding sensor and probe in the solution during the experiment. It is stylish, functional, stable and corrosion resistant. The low quality clamp stands on the market are made of plated steel rod, zinc joint and vinyl coated clamp finger. The plating will peel and cause rust. The zinc joint it heavy and difficult to hold tight. The vinyl fingers are easy to break and will only withstand up to 70 degree Celsius. The length of the rod determines the maximum height of the beaker it can use. It also determines the longest probe it will hold stable. This pole is tall enough for 600 ml beaker and a 300 mm long probe . The cross linker piece uses a unique "raindrop " shaped hole to hold the clamp piece and the vertical rod together. This raindrop shaped hole allows you to securely hold a wide range of rod diameter size from 3 mm to 12.5mm (1/8 to 1/2" ). It is a very useful feature if you ever need to use are different size clamp or device.
