Make me an offer! Free US shipping! HTF part, cheapest price on ebay! This is a 35x7x4mm Cesium Iodide scintillation crystal. It is a raw crystal that could be easily glued to a PMT or blue enhanced photodiode with high grade optical cement. This crystal is NOT hygroscopic like sodium iodide, but will shipped sealed in a bag as pictured to keep it fresh until you need it. It has an energy dependent response of the output making the material very useful for miniature nuclear spectrometers and the like. If using with a cheap PIN photodiode, you will want to put a small thin piece of orange or green florescent plastic between the scintillation crystal and the photodiode. This will greatly improve the sensitivity and allow you to use a cheap $2 off the shelf PIN photodetector too. These crystals alone sell for over several hundred dollars each, and are very hard to find- I have lots of laser and other unique stuff for sale this week.
