Pyrolytic Graphite Block Roughly 1" X 1" X <1/4"

US $820

This auction is for 1 piece of anti-magnetic or diamagnetic  pyrolytic graphite roughly one inch by one inch and averages slightly less than 1/4" thick.  Pyrolytic Graphite repels magnetic fields in both north and south directions. It has almost as good thermal transmission properties as copper along its length, but acts as an insulator thru its thickness. Can be used as an insulator or a heating element. Stable to 5430 degrees F, resistant to many plasmas and molten metals.  This piece has the same bubbly/dimpled surface that all pyrolytic graphite I have seen has--some better some worse.  Interesting note: even when sanded perfectly  flat,  the surfaces still look dimpled/bubbled like an optical illusion.  This piece is 1.0325" long x 0.984" wide  and varying from 0.2450" to 0.251" thick..  This piece is 5 times as thick as pieces some of the other guys are selling for more money!  It can be split into various thinner pieces for floating over a north/south checkerboard of neo magnets.  The last  picture shows this piece  levitating a 1/4 x 1/4 x 1/4"  Grade N42 magnet.  (Note: Levitating a magnet over graphite requires a lifter magnet above to help support the weight of the magnet) This auction is for the piece of graphite described above only.  The levitation rig and magnet are for demonstration and reference only and not included in the auction.  Shipping is free to the USA via first class mail.
