During the restoration, the crankshaft was polished or turned as necessary, and the correct end play was achieved by shimming it with a dial indicator. The compressor was then assembled using a new rebuild kit and pre-oiled to minimize wear and tear during the initial startup. Before being put into service, the compressor was test-run for an hour to ensure that it was performing optimally. One of the salient features of the Quincy 5120 is that it has been fully remanufactured by a reputable company that specializes in Quincy compressors for more than four decades. The refurbishment process involved stripping down the compressor to its constituent parts and meticulously cleaning and inspecting each of them for any signs of damage or defects. The Quincy Model 5120 with a 25 HP motor and 2 stages is a robust compressor suitable for various industries. It operates on 240 3 Phase power, although it can be adapted to use 480 volts. We have two identical Quincy 5120 compressors that are in excellent condition and available for purchase.
