It does power up and has a power srtip on top of the stand for powering multiple instruments. The overhead light works and rotates 360 degrees , the refractor arm swings with ease and locks into place when needed. The slit lamp arm also moves back and forth easily. This stand does have normal wear ( small scratches) but no dings or dents. I can't find 1 thing wrong with this stand. It still looks new. This is one of the nicer one's on Ebay.
