The difference is that the Softie is sewn into the tag end of the strap rather than the cam end of the strap. One strap utilizes a Hook sewn on one end and a Cam Buckle sewn on the opposite end. with a softie loop sewn into the middle. The second strap to the set utilizes a Hook sewn on one end with a five inch loop sewn onto the middle. Except for the built in Softie feature, this strap is identical to the regular Motorcycle Cam Strap. The Softie feature adds an extra length of webbing and allows you to loop the webbing over your handle bars or off the frame of your ATV instead of using the S-hooks. The two hooks on each strap are designed to be used for attachment to whatever you want to secure, hold down, etc., after putting those in place, you then push open the Cam Buckle and feed the loose end of the strap up through the bottom of the Cam Buckle, out through the slot and pull webbing to desired tightness. To loosen simply push the Cam Buckle tab, and pull the webbing free. This strap is used in medium to heavy applications. Polyester webbing has the same great qualities as Flat Nylon webbing, with a couple extra bonuses! Polyester is great for indoors or outdoors due to its high abrasion resistance, excellent UV protection, high breaking strength, and resistance to rot & mildew. Along with Flat Nylon, Polyester has the wonderful smooth feel to it that makes contact with skin comfortable. It's breaking strength ranges from 2500lbs. - 7000lbs., so it will work for your heaviest of jobs.
