Rotary Switch 24 Positions 1 Pole. Made in East Germany by RFT. For sale is one NOS high quality 24 positions rotary switch with I think palladium plated contacts. The contacts are covered with plastic enclosure against dust. The switches were factory packed with waxed paper. You can see the first quality RFT sign in the triangle on the first two pictures. I think these switches are make-before-break. I did a test with an ohm-meter and didn't noticed interruption in the beeper sound between two adjacent contacts when changing the position (one lead was connected to the common contact and the other to two adjacent contacts simultaneously). The switches have also two limiters that can be used for setting the starting and ending contact so it can be adjusted for use with less than 24 positions. To do so you have to loose the top screws till the limiters start to move (about half a turn) and fix them in other positions (be careful not to remove the screws because it will be hard to put them back in place). The switches are great for mono attenuator volume controls. They can be easily disassembled and two of them combined in one dual pole stereo switch. To do that you have to replace the part shown on the last picture with a longer one (not provided but not hard to produce from 2mm thick steel piece). I'm trying to keep the shipping costs as low as possible but have to use priority mail because otherwise sometimes there are severe delays and people start open "item not received" cases. Although for the EU and the neighbouring countries I can use just registered mail so ask for an invoice and specify the preferred shipping method. I always combine the shipping for multiple items if the weight is less than 2 kg. Please ask for a total invoice before paying if you buy more than one item.
