This tool appears to be in excellent almost new condition. It is used by mechanics to flare brake lines and plumbers to prepare straight tubing for use with certain conical fittings. It is a Ridgid or Rigid No.459 and is of very high American made quality. There is no indication that the tool has even been used, it still has a sticky protective coating of wax-oil Cosmoline and no signs of rust or wear. It can flare tubing sizes of 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 5/8, and 3/4". The flare angle would be 45 degrees. The Ridgid tool company has a lifetime warranty on the mechanics of this flaring tool. It operates with an eccentric action to minimize the force required to form the metal. Fixed USPS shipping cost of $10 within the continental USA to keep it simple but local pickup could also be arranged. Shipping cost would be higher for other locations.
