The Rope King TP-38600Y twisted poly rope measures 3/8" in diameter by 600' long with an SWL limit of 244 lb., is yellow in color, and is suitable for use in camping, pools, and ladder placement. Twisted poly (polypropylene) rope floats and is resistant to mildew, oil, and gas. The twisted construction is stronger than braided rope of the same size. This rope has an SWL limit of 244 lb. Specifications Diameter 3/8" (9.5 mm) Length 600'/182.8 m Safe Working Load (SWL) Limit 244 lb./110.6 kg Fibrous ropes used for pulling and lifting are made of natural and/or synthetic fiber strands. A combination of characteristics, including material, construction, diameter, length, and breaking strength, give each rope its performance capability. Fibrous rope materials are selected for properties such as strength, flotation, elasticity, and resistance to abrasion, ultraviolet light, and chemical compounds. ?Twisted rope, also called laid rope, consists of two, three, or four strands given a right-hand or left-hand twist. ?The parallel organization of the strands makes twisted rope generally stronger than braided rope of the same size, but also prone to abrasion wear. The breaking strength for fibrous rope is the strength at which new rope will fail under a stationary load. Breaking strength is not considered safe working load (SWL) limit.
