This Royal cash register powers up and does go through the motions of registering and totaling "sales". So I am selling it as "used", but I have not tested anywhere near all the functions it came with. The switch inside the paper-roll compartment sets to OFF, R1, R2, X, Z, and PRG. It does turn off, and seems to operate as a simple cash register in R1 or R2, haven't tried anything else. (Pressing TOTAL key after entries pops the drawer. A lot of other keys I pressed give "E" display; pressing the yellow "C" key restores the display to 0.00.) There is a holder in the back of the paper-roll compartment for four AA batteries; empty but not corroded, not tested. The cover for this compartment has a simple lock, open without a key. The cash drawer has a simple lock, also without a key. (You can open the drawer without working the keys, by releasing latch underneath). There is a print cartridge in place which goes through the motions, but likely needs to be replaced; they are available. No paper in it either. I do NOT have the owners manual for this. On the chance that it may be some help, I will include on CDR the manuals for a couple of other "similar" Royal cash registers. PS --- I have another of these in essentially the same condition, in another listing. If you want additional photo details, ask via email, but I need your actual email to respond (eBay won’t send attachments). Color tint and intensity may not be accurate, due to difference in monitors and my photographic skill level. Occasionally I use stock photos. Generally this indicates that the real thing looks just like the stock photo unless I say otherwise. I will NOT show a misleading photo deliberately. Feedback: Please consider carefully before leaving less than the BEST POSSIBLE feedback (all 5-stars) for me or ANY seller. If there is a problem, please discuss it with the seller BEFORE posting feedback. Reason: eBay uses the star-ratings for PRICING TO SELLER, not just for info to bidders. eBay’s verbal terms suggest 4-stars is a fine rating, and 3 is okay, but if a seller averages below 4.5 in any area he is subject to higher selling fees. So anything less than “all 5 stars” in the secret part of the ratings is equivalent to leaving a NEGATIVE. Local Pickup: I do allow local pickup, but charge a fee. Fee is charged only the first time for a buyer; no charge on purchases after that. If I recognize an address as “local” I will include this option in your invoice.
