These are Sarracenia Purpurea subsp purpurea.  They are from Geneva Lake, Switzerland.Excusive seeds with own history. They are localized  only to Switzerland. One fantastic looking plant. (Very hardy plant). Our seeds started sprouting at 13 days of germination. We are in Saskatchewan. So hardy you can grow anywhere. Very cool looking Purpurea plant. Give it a whirl. Very hardy plant.  I'm sure you'll have great success if you give them the right soil, light and humidity.  You'll love them.. A very hardy plant. A must have for ALL Canadian Carnivorous plant growers. In some provinces with higher humidity you'll be able to grow these outdoors also. (This is a real picture of them) A must for every Carnivorous plant grower to give a try at growing no matter what province your in.. These are only from one excusive place in the world, they are a very hardy Purpurea pitcher plant. Why not add them into your collection also??    We did. If you DON"T live in a province for certain Carnivorous plants to grow cause of lower humidity or extreme winters, don't get discouraged on not being able to grow them. You can grow any Carnivorous plant from anywhere in the world in a Terrarium and make those plants happy. A 27 gallon fish tank or bigger with florescent lights works well. All different kinds of Carnivorous plants can be grown in a Terrarium together. Keep each kind in pot with their own soil. Keep good light and always keep the humidity at the right level for those plants. That's what I do. There are 1000s of growers that use Terrariums across Canada. Enjoy growing all those plants you like. Give it a whirl. You'll be happy you did. ***(((Fall/Winter is a fantastic time to purchase Carnivorous Plant seeds that take a cold stratifying time first before sowing/germinating the seeds.  You stratify the seeds through winter and in late winter/early spring sow/germinate the seeds.. So when it is spring time the seedlings will be ready to get bursting with growth with the longer light hours and warmer weather)))*** All our seeds are kept in a fridge to stay fresh so when you get them they are ready for you to start the growing  process.  ALL our CP seeds are fresh and viable. Brightly colored red tubes which will shoot up to 70cm tall!! Brilliant red spring flowers on long spikes. Sit in a saucer of water up to 20% of the height of the plant. They like full sun or at least part sun for 5 hours and are frost resistant. Sarracenia Purpurea are a pleasure to grow and are extremely rewarding, they are very ornamental and specimen plants can be quite spectacular. If you love rare red Purpurea plants then these are a must have for every grower. S.Purpurea plants make great Terrarium plants from seed. Can be grown any time of year cause they don't need the rest period for their first 2 years. Growing Carnivorous plants is a very rewarding hobby.
