Sangamo Watthour meter test set. Type J33 Portable Test Meter, Serial 11055368, Amps 1-5-15 120/240V 60 Cycles. Used as a standard for testing consumer watthour meters. It has a precision version of a disc type meter built in with resettable dials. There is a seal intact over a screw that holds it together, I have never seen the insides. This came to me from one of the auctions at the dispersal of the Seabees base Naval Construction Battalion Center, Davisville RI, in the late 70's. It is marked BuOrd Nord(F)1335 USN 2721 M2017 6 x 7 x 8 inches, Aluminium case, Leather handle in good condition considering the age. Original calibration chart mounted in lid. It is functional, I have played with it and it does it's job. Time for it to find a new home, it would make for an interesting display hooked to some light bulbs I am a retired engineer, and a locksmith, machinest, clockmaker, from a 6 generation string of the same. I have to thin my hoard some to get more efficient, so things that have not been used in years are going.
