This auction is for a very well made heavy duty medical scale. It was made by Scale-Tronix and was designed and made in the USA. For those not familiar with Scale-Tronix, ST was the industry leader in medical scales for the past 40 years. They were usually the most expensive ones on the market but also made the best, most accurate, and durable scales that hospitals, doctors offices, etc. could purchase.   This particular scale is a model 5125 patient scale.   It has a capacity of 200KG or 440 pounds. It is very simple to use. Just push the on bottom wait a couple of seconds for it to zero out and then have patient stand on and it will give their true weight on the display. The scales shuts off automatically after 45 seconds to conserve battery power. The unit measures approx. 18 by 16 inches and the actual platform for item to be weighed is approx. 16 by 12 inches.  This scale is brand new in the box and is in mint condition. The scale weighs approx. 20 pounds and is very well made. The unit takes 6 standard C batteries which are included. With 6 C batteries you should be able to do 10,000 weighings, it is recommended that you switch out batteries once a year as you would not want batteries to corrode and hurt the scale. Scale-Tronix sold this scale for between $1200-$1400 dollars.  Thank you for looking.  In the photos there is still a protective film over the display which has caused a glare on a couple of the photos. The display is in perfect condition and very easy to read.
